Industrial Water Treatment Solutions
INDSUTRIAL WATER TREATMENT
You don’t always need a crew on-site; instead, you need the correct skills. Whether you’re trying to figure out why a system isn’t working properly, planning a major change, or simply need a second opinion from someone who knows this equipment, Sepratech’s consulting and engineering support provides direct access to a water treatment expert who can help you make the right decision.
Industrial water treatment systems are sophisticated. When a situation goes wrong, or when performance gradually wanders away from where it should be, the root problem is rarely what appears on the surface. A turbidity problem could be caused by a media issue, a backwash timing issue, a lateral failure, or something completely else upstream. An operator who tweaks the incorrect variable does not resolve the issue. They construct a new one.
Having a professional water treatment expert on your side might make all the difference. Instead of relying on trial and error, you’ll gain a clear understanding of what’s going on, why it’s happening, and exactly what needs to change to remedy it. Sepratech has been tackling these difficulties across North America since 1989, and the breadth of our experience is evident in the quality of the advice we provide.
Our advisory services have one main goal: to provide you with accurate and expert information that will help you make informed decisions about your water-treatment system. This could mean diagnosing and solving a particular problem, optimising a process that is underperforming, or planning for the work to be done across multiple pieces.
You will receive a written report detailing all measurements, photographs, and findings from each site assessment. This is not a summary, it’s an expert document that captures all the details: what was found, what it meant, and what recommendations we made.
We combine all the turbidity data, differential pressure data, and flow rate collected during the assessment to create a summary that tells you the story of the performance of your system.
We prioritize repairs based on urgency and operational risks. This will help you stay within your budget and schedule. We scope out the work ahead of time if similar filters need the same attention as the filter that was just completed. This way, you don’t have to start from scratch each time.
We give advice to plant operators on how to make adjustments to their daily operating procedures in order to avoid recurring problems. This includes revised, specific timing recommendations for every step of the backwashing sequence, based on the performance data that we have collected from your system.
We make recommendations for continuous monitoring. Where necessary, we recommend the installation of turbidimeters or other continuous monitoring equipment in common outlet pipes. This gives your team a real-time and ongoing view into the water quality, without having to wait for an audit. This infrastructure transforms reactive operations into proactive ones.
Sepratech may review your current data and provide an expert advisory report without requiring a fresh site visit. Please contact us to explore what is involved.

We keep the procedure simple and flexible because no two facilities or problems are exactly the same.
Step 1
Initial Conversation: We begin with a clear discussion about your system, existing difficulties, and objectives. This allows us to better grasp the scope and recommend the appropriate form of engagement, whether it’s a full-site audit with consulting deliverables, a remote data analysis, or an ongoing advising agreement.
Step 2
On-Site or Remote Assessment: Depending on the nature of the engagement, we may perform an on-site inspection, analyze submitted operating data remotely, or both. We work with your operating schedule to minimize disruption.
Step 3
Analysis & Reporting: All data are reviewed, documented, and summarized into a concise written report that includes precise, prioritized suggestions. Where necessary, supporting data tables, pictures, and updated operational details are provided.
Step 4
Advisory Follow-Through: Our engagement does not need to end with the report. Sepratech can serve as an ongoing advisory resource by addressing questions when recommendations are implemented, assessing results, and altering direction as your system responds.
Each interaction with Sepratech’s consulting team concludes with a written deliverable, not a verbal debrief or a general impression. What you get is a clear, professional document that explains what was discovered, what it means for your organization, and what has to be done next. Depending on the scope of work, this could contain a formal site review report, a media loading document, a data summary table, a prioritized repair list, or a detailed case study of the project from beginning to conclusion.
These documents do not simply serve you on the day they are sent. They become part of your system’s maintenance history, help with internal reporting and regulatory paperwork, and provide a reliable baseline for new engineers to work from.
Operating an industrial water treatment plant is a demanding job. It’s not easy to develop the necessary knowledge to run an industrial water treatment system. The equipment is complex, and there are serious consequences if you get it wrong. The majority of plant operators and engineers manage water treatment along with a dozen other responsibilities, and the specialized depth these systems require is not always available in-house.
Sepratech offers consulting and engineering services to help you with this. Direct access to a water treatment expert with years of experience working on filtration, clarifications, ion-exchange, reverse osmosis, and advanced membrane systems. We have worked in environments such as power generation, petrochemicals, refineries, pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, and municipalities. We understand how these systems work in real life, not just on paper.
Sepratech is not a generic consulting partner. You get specific guidance based on experience, tailored to your equipment, water and operational realities.
If you’re planning a new project, preparing for an upgrade, or troubleshooting ongoing water treatment challenges, our team is here to help. Contact Sepratech’s professional services team to discuss your specific requirements, review system conditions, and explore the options best suited to your operation. We take the time to understand your goals so we can offer tailored recommendations, engineered solutions, and accurate quotes designed around your facility—not generic templates. Reach out today and let us help you build the most effective, reliable solution for your industrial water treatment needs.
When a Louisiana facility’s four horizontal pressure media filters began delivering unacceptable turbidity levels, Sepratech conducted a full site audit across all units. Our team identified a systemic root cause: air scour being initiated before sufficient drain down, progressively flushing media into the waste sump. Filter A had deteriorated critically, producing outlet turbidity higher than its inlet. Sepratech executed a complete media re-bed on Filter A using an enhanced eight-layer recipe incorporating a new garnet layer for improved particle removal, successfully restoring it to design performance. Re-bedding of Filters B, C, and D is now underway.
